We've recently installed two upgrades to our marketing site:
  • We've implemented an additional caching layer to speed up site loading.
  • We've setup a marketing specific WAF to strengthen security (*)
The caching layer we added is Redis object caching. This caches frequently requested data by visitors from the database in RAM memory where it's much faster to access.
Results of monitoring before and after implementing the additional caching layer showed that Total Transaction Load went from ~54,000 ms to ~13,000 ms in a 2 hour period, meaning a ~76% total reduction.
(*) A WAF, or Web Application Firewall, is a security tool that protects web applications and APIs by filtering, monitoring, and blocking malicious web traffic and application-layer attacks.
We've updated our systems to monitor bandwidth usage of accounts more closely.
This is an initiative to battle our rising costs.
Our methodology:
  • Paid accounts will be contacted by me personally to discuss the options. Only consistent overages are an issue. I understand there can be traffic spikes eg. seasonality.
  • Free accounts will have their account locked and images taken offline. You can contact me and/or subscribe to lift the lock.
We've rolled back changes we recently implemented because our servers got overwhelmed.
It's related to these changes for free user accounts:
  • When free users' images' watermark fails to be added, it should be retried until it succeeds.
  • Free users with online images above their free limit will have their images above the limit put offline.
  • Offline images in free accounts will be removed 60 days after the last subscription ended.
The features have been reopened and put back in "in progress".
My apologies for the technical difficulties with the dashboard and the hosted galleries.
We will take care to not end up in this situation again by doing more checks before releasing something new.
The plan is to upgrade our infrastructure and then re-release it.
I will now receive emails sent to mathias@account.img.vision.
It was an oversight that emails didn't arrive in my inbox.
Feel free to test it 💪
We now have a bigger, clearer watermark for free users' images.
Here's an example:

We received an number of requests to offer pricing plans for simple logo and signature hosting.
Our smallest plan was, up to now, 1000 images at 20 usd/mo.
Since it makes sense to offer to offer small plans for businesses that only want to host a small number of images, we added 3 new plans to the Starter tier:
  • 20 images at 4.99 usd/mo
  • 50 images at 9.99 usd/mo
  • 100 images at 14.99 usd/mo
A customer already subscribed to one of the new plans before I was able to post this announcement. Good stuff 💪

We had been advertising on our marketing page and dashboard billing page since March 2024 that Free plan users have their images watermarked with a Img.vision watermark.
Yet we didn't enforce this yet until today Feb 23 2025.
Small recap:
Free users can upload jpg+png, have up to 100 images online, and their images are watermarked with "Image hosting by www.img.vision"
Since October 2024 we've been working on a big platform stability & security upgrade.
That upgrade is now completed.
Upload folders
We've just rolled out the highly anticipated feature so you can Upload folders.
You can now upload folders with images while keeping everything organized exactly as it is.
If your folder contains subfolders, they will be created in your Img.vision drive as on your computer, and any images inside will also be uploaded and placed in the correct folder.
This is immediately available to all customers on the Pro, Team, Enterprise plans.
Price of the plans stay the same and there are no plans to increase it.
Manager account fixes
We released a bunch of fixes for the manager accounts of Team and Enterprise plan owners.
Folder sorting fix
We had a bug that folders weren't being sorted anymore, we fixed that.
Hi everyone!
This is Mathias, owner of Img.vision.
Me and the team just released the new version of Img.vision which includes a new team accounts plan. We worked a year and 2 months on it, it took our full attention and budget. Check out the pricing page or billing page inside your dashboard to upgrade to the new plan.
In addition, we introduced a new structure to our pricing plans. There are now tiers: Starter, Professional, Team, and Enterprise. Each tier has 3 sub levels. Each higher tier unlocks more features.
We also increased the prices overall. It has been 3 years since we increased any prices, so it was much needed to cover the increased prices of running an online infrastructure and paying increased wages. Any existing customers can keep their current plan at their current price.
We also used ChatGPT and determined through AI analysis that the 1k plan was still too big and we needed a lower 500 images plan. This plan is also now available.
In addition the trial and free plan are merging. These both give access to 100 images now instead of the free plan only offering 20.

Thanks for your business!
Have a great start of the week tomorrow!
